First Reactions on new TEL Domain Website (Tel Proxy)
The first reaction on TELNIC forum was: Great to see the new Tel Proxy!.
And my first reaction was:

But then as soon as I have discovered what happened, that changed. And I had to change my reaction to:

Some did say Fantastic! and let them have it.
One Word For It: Disaster
There is no other suitable word for the release of buggy, faulty TEL Domain Website Proxy, but disaster.
One thing you don't learn yet, you don't release BETA systems on the paying TEL domain owners.
And you don't promise one thing, and deceitfully give to paying customers another thing.
First impression is nice because it is something different, but in the end you should not have launch it if it does not work. The content is degraded by lack of literacy of those who designed it. Visibility is degraded to the unacceptable level. The early beta launch has degraded 275,000 websites.
More Critics
Advertising text and titles are now so small, it makes no sense. It is smaller then average text on the page, make it same like before. So let me have that RELATED be same link the average text.
ADVERTISING -- RELATED LINKS are shown smaller, that is not visible and not OK, not readable, not professional.
Will that be changed that I can set the size of font? If not, make it like it was.
Google Maps Not Working
You try to click on See in Google Maps and all you get is:
HTTP Status 404 - No result defined for action
de.knipp.telnic.so.proxy.web.action.ExceptionMappi ngAction and result redirect
Printing Does Not Work
Printing is showing the 404 error. Due to Google Maps not working.
That is too much BETA, too much testing on 275,000 domains. Not fair and not professional.
PRINTING -- does not work because Google Maps fails, which means 404 error for Google Maps, which also reduces the value of website in the Google Search engine, as it has NON-VALID links.
Wrong Parentheses Usage
CONTENT -- Content is being put into parenthesis where it was not before, that is not to TELNIC to decide what to put into parenthesis. Parenthesis have its meaning, and you obviously need someone literate to advise your designer what and how to do.
NOTES - If you have NOTES, notes are shown as Note (my text) -- which is not acceptable.
Promises Not Delivered
Picture says it all.

I can only conclude that their previous templates were not based on any research of design and usability, but rather on guessing and good eye of some people. And luck that it was accepted broadly.
As if they dare to release this very much, unacceptable, annoying, outrageous buggy system today, with unreadable templates, buggy printing, buggy Google Maps, buggy control panel, then they have not certainly observed any guidelines on usability, readability, not mentioning the joke promise about templates, and empty promises that users will be able to hide SEARCH ALL TELs.
You simply don't release a website for 300,000 domains if that website is not giving what you are promising. That does affect our business.
They have released, WOW, such a great color changing system. But where is the bloody color change for letters? Now I can have black background covering anyway dark letter. Makes no sense.
Further, why do my clients need to see MANAGE link? That is misleading and shall not be on the public page. If I have TEL domain, I certainly do know where is that manage link, and I don't need my audience thinking that our company offers them something to MANAGE. My TEL domains are for public, not for myself to watch it and enjoy.
The stuff: Print this page and vCard download, shall be rather on bottom, that is less important stuff. The only print option offered is javascriptrint(); --- waste of space -- as anyone who does use a printer, know how to print a page. If TELNIC would offer PDF review, that would be nice, but this is plain simple printing. BOTTOM, under the logo, that is good place for that.
The search box has TOO BRIGHT letters, you enter search keywords and you can hardly read them.
Let us say there is one bug or two, and people complain, and TELNIC repairs that, it would be acceptable. But this is major disaster. They think that NO WARRANTY in some agreements will save them from consumer complaints? Well man, I do have a damage if client clicks on Google Maps and cannot find me.
New Tel Proxy, New Flop
When a company published newsletter of great and nice new TEL website, then they are to take critics as well.
But I am not complaining about design that much, but about bugs, we have paid for TEL domains, and we are building marketing with them, and we certainly wanna have what we paid for.
TEL domain shall work, and customers shall be able to gradually step into the new design, just like many other companies like Yahoo, Google do, they have you choose yourself the BETA version and then I can decide if it is working for me or not.
This way TELNIC decides for 300,000 domains, and actually creates bad image to TEL domain owners by having mass of websites degraded with their underdeveloped website.
Clearly unprofessional.
Complaint For New Tel Proxy
I cannot go knock on the door of TELNIC, I have already complained to my registrars, they say go and complain to TELNIC, so that is what I do.
Summary, TEL Domain Needs Better Proxy
TEL Domain needs better proxy.
And if TELNIC does not provide decent website for TEL domains, then we will show you how you can do it yourself.
As of today, I, Jean Louis, have decided to make a software which will help you make better looking proxy on your Dot COM domain.
Our project will be called TEL-4.COM. Watch it out!
